Trailer for Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children

I honestly don’t know much about this book series.  The covers always intrigued me with it’s vintage black and white pictures depicting kids with freaky powers. I imagined it was like Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters circa 1910. After reading the synopsis for Tim Burton’s adaption,  this world would be at home in a comic book. Here, read for yourself…

When Jake discovers clues to a mystery that spans alternate realities and times, he uncovers a secret refuge known as Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As he learns about the residents and their unusual abilities, Jake realizes that safety is an illusion, and danger lurks in the form of powerful, hidden enemies. Jake must figure out who is real, who can be trusted, and who he really is.

Now, take a look at the trailer

Movie looks great but oddly seems to be missing that Tim Burton vibe that most of his movies have. I looks like he opted to just make a movie and not a “Tim Burton” movie, which I’m all for. Burton is a great film maker that has a few rough patches on his resume but honestly who doesn’t. Oh, and it has Sam Jackson…bonus points! I also want to know what is up with those two little clown twins.
