New DUCKTALES Poster Sums Up The New Show With Simplistic Beauty.

It feels like it’s been forever since we got any new info on the DUCKTALES cartoon headed to Disney X D. In March, Disney gave us our first look at the new show with the picture above. I talked about how much I loved the picture and I felt like even though the animation is different the spirit of the show looks intact.

Since March though the DUCKTALES world suffered their biggest loss with the passing of Alan Young on May 19. I honestly don’t know if this is part of the reason info has been slow to come out recently. Young earlier this year voiced Scrooge in the new Mickey Mouse shorts, so I would suppose Disney would have wanted him to carry that over to the new DUCKTALES cartoon and voice his most popular character.

Now we get to September. Last week on Dancing With The Stars, dancer  Val Chmerkovskiy and Olympic gold medal gymnast Laurie Hernandez did a dance routine to the theme song from DUCKTALES. As I told my wife, good or not it brought a smile to my face. I personally was taken back by the fact they were using this song and how great Chmerkovskiy’s Scrooge outfit was (he even had spats).

That night on Twitter, Disney posted about the dance and said Ducktales was coming back to Disney X D in 2017. Finally, a mention since March. I was excited again and I felt like engines were full steam ahead. new-ducktales-animated-series-gets-an-official-logo-and-promo-poster34

Last week Disney posted the “new” logo for the show on the eve of Dancing With The Stars.Happily and sadly it was the same ol’ logo. Happy that it might be a sign of the direction they’re going and sad that after so much time that was all we were getting. Yesterday morning though, all that changed.

We now have a poster for the series and it is perfect. We get glimpses of our main characters Huey, Dewey, Louie, Webby, and Donald Duck all within the silhouette of the man of the hour, Scrooge McDuck. It is a thing of beauty. It offers up enough to get excited about and is a really great design. I want this poster NOW to hang in My Side Of The Laundry Room.

Here is a synopsis, if ya need one…

The new series’ adventures will once again take viewers along as Scrooge McDuck, his curious and mischief-making grandnephews—Huey, Dewey, and Louie—and the optimistic-yet-temperamental Donald Duck embark on high-flying adventures worldwide. Other beloved characters slated to be in the new stories are: Duckworth, Gyro Gearloose, Launchpad McQuack, Flintheart Glomgold, Magica DeSpell & Poe, Ma Beagle and the Beagle Boys (Burger Beagle, Bouncer Beagle), Mrs. Beakley, and Webbigail Vanderquack.

Keep a look out in 2017 for the return of DUCKTALES on Disney X D

When are we gonna get any new news about the BIG HERO 6 show coming to Disney XD in 2017?

  1. Dude since I now get most of my entertainment news from you, thanks for staying on top of this. I am truly excited for this on a multitude of levels. I love the poster and more importantly the late great Mr Barks and Mr Young would love the vibe and feel of the show. They should start the series with the legendary “Just a Poor Ole Man” story. Hell any of the stories would be great or Rosa’s “The Life and Times” would be awesome.
