With a name like PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES I’ll take the easy way out and call it Pirates of the Caribbean 5, or just Pirates 5, or just the new Pirates movie. I’m not dismissing the flick in any way, but damn that’s a long title. And that’s coming from the guy who named his site My Side Of The Laundry Room.
First off, I can see kinda why Disney chose to air this on AMC during Sunday’s Fear the Walking Dead. The new ghost pirates (or is it pirate ghosts) in PIRATES 5 have a very creepy zombie thing going on. I like it. I like the more grown up effects they have come up with over the basic skeleton pirates in the first PIRATES movie. Davy Jones’ crew from the next two follow-ups will always have a place in my heart but the new crew of ghastly pirates have a true waterlogged and putrid aura to them. Plus missing half (or more) of your face / head is always creep-tasticly awesome.
Check it out….
Man, love that floating hair.
Here’s a brief synopsis…

Captain Jack’s only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that bestows upon its possessor total control over the seas.
