Whose Side Are You On During The WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES?

It’s a rare feat to make the movie going public turn against themselves. After watching the first trailer (thanks to Sci-Fi Jubilee) to War for the Planet of the Apes, I know I will be hoping the apes stamp out humanity. That is the one thing the reboot of Planet of the Apes has excelled at, making humans truly look like the monster we are.

I’ve never been a fan of the original movies or the television show from 1974, but it did have it’s merits. But other than a few “Apes” that sympathized with the humans, the “Apes” were portrayed as villains. Now we see the other side of the coin. Most of the “Apes” just want to live in peace with a few exceptions wanting to kill the humans that have tormented them for so long.

But everything has come to the boiling point as both humans and apes must go to war to preserve both their species from each other. Surprisingly the face of the evil human empire is Woody Harrelson, and he looks to act the hell outta the part.

The synopsis…

In War for the Planet of the Apes, the third chapter of the critically acclaimed blockbuster franchise, Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet.
