Boo to you Laundry Roommates! It’s that time of year again when the leaves begin to change color, the air starts to get cooler, and the ghosts and goblins come out to play. Halloween is coming and it’s my favorite time of year.
Sadly I didn’t hit the ground running with the Halloween merriment like I did last year. Last year I started the day after Labor Day with Halloween themed posts and it was very fun…until I lost steam and petered out two weeks before the big day, oops.
For some reason it feels like I don’t have the same amount of free time as I did last year and I’m not able to pump out the same amount of posts. I have so many posts that I have started but rarely find time to finish. Some are very big undertakings that require tons of research, while others are small and fun. I hope to finish them all soon. Heck, I’m finding it very hard to not go crazy while writing about Disney World and those posts have grown to be these huge monsters that need to be tamed before they are released from captivity.
Oh well, on to the list….
1. Halloween Decorations
With all of the prep work going to Disney World and the deconstruction of suit cases and stuff, I have yet to really decorate for Halloween. The outside of the house is decorated so the casual observer would think I have my Halloween shit together, but the inside of my house looks normal. It’s already a week into October…I’m such a failure!
2. Monstrous Monday
Again, it’s the Halloween season and I haven’t done a Monstrous Monday in how long? WTF!
The family and I dressed up for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. We dressed as the characters from Inside Out (minus Sadness). We thought we could reuse those costumes for real Halloween. The kids had another idea so now we have to scramble around to find them new shit…ugh.
My kids already have a ton of candy from Trick or Treating at Disney World. I’m already tired of the sugar highs, whining for more, and sugar crashes and it’s still 3 weeks until real Halloween.
5. Bridge Bust 2017
Heading to an annual arts and crafts show this weekend called Bridge Bust. They shut down an old bridge over the Susquehanna River and have vendors and food. This is our first time going and I’m hoping to score some awesome Halloween décor and dorky knick-knacks.
Have a great weekend folks!
And until next week….
Keep Being Rad & Stay Dorky
