5 Toys I Wish I Had As A Kid – part 1

For anyone who is a fan of My Side of the Laundry Room this weeks sentiMENTAL might seem familiar. For a while now I have been writing about all the toys and games I wish I would’ve had as a kid. Most of the stories I share reflect my ups and downs in childhood and sometimes are good for a laugh.

I wanted to try and bring that same “energy” to a video. I hope it works. I even used some of the same toys I’ve talked about before just to test the waters. Let me know what you think.

  1. I never had any Centurions either for some reason, but I did have a few Man-Tech figures, the poor mans version of Centurions.

My cousin had one of those Cyclones. Was so jealous.

Slightly related, you ever have any of those Bandai Godaikins? Those are like my Cyclone. I had the Gardian one as a kid and always wanted more. Not about to spend $300+ on one though.

    1. Man-Tech was the bomb. Never had any but I thought they were awesome.

I didn’t know Godaikin by name but when I looked them up I definitely know them. They are awesome. $300 is way to much. I’ve found some ET toys on eBay for under $10. That’s nostalgia more my speed lol

  2. Love the blog! It’s very XE/Dinosaur Dracula-esque. Not sure if you’re familiar, but if not you should most definitely check it out. Been following along with Matt’s stuff for many years now.

This is right up my alley, being a nostalgia hound! I’m still a sucker for action figures. I’ll pick some new ones up from time to time, like my Sideshow Freddy from Dream Warriors and a set of the NECA Ninja Turtles.

Reminds me of the stuff that slipped thro my tiny mitts back in the day
The reasons for my recent quest for Bronze Age comics are exactly identical to your toy collecting
Many thanks for this nostalgia trip! 🙂
