Barbara Gordon (Batgirl/Oracle) – Fiction’s Fearless Females

To help celebrate International Women’s Day (March 8) and Women’s History Month (March), I along with some of WordPress’s best bloggers are teaming up to shine a spotlight on some of our favorite fearless females from movies, comics, television, and beyond.

In this thrilling installment, the very amazing and talented artist and writer Kathleen from the awesome book review blog, Graphic Novelty². writes about her love of the fearless and at times fun, Batgirl.

I for one remember watching the Batman ’66 show as a kid and always being excited when the intro would include Batgirl on her Bat-Cycle zoom by. You knew you were in for a good episode when you saw that graphic as well as the name of the actress that portrayed her, Yvonne Craig. As a comic book fan, Batgirl was one of those classic heroes that resided in the DC pantheon that i never questioned and always enjoyed.

Anyways, check out this fantastic post from Kathleen from Graphic Novelty² and stick around and read some other great posts from her and her partner in crime Nancy (who will be posting her favorite Fiction’s Fearless Female soon).
